Survival amongst the batty..

When too many bats
Go crazy in the belfry…

I sit down and knit.....

hats, tobbagans.
At least the bats in the belfry will stay warm.
These knit hats are for the men in my family, btw.
Mine doesn't have to be done by Christmas.

As I was sewing up the hats early, early this morning, I had an eager helper.

Our serendipitous Serendipity is hosting this weeks Haiku Monday.
Her link is posted in the post below.
 Play! It's fun.

Gorgeous photos dearest Foamy, cats are always helpful when we are knitting or sewing, cats are just great.
In many way this year has gone too quickly and in other ways so slowly.
I am so disorganised this year, running late with keep my sanity I have been sewing little kitty shaped sachets and filling them with lavender, they are for gifts and the scent of the lavender is soothing.

Lavender is one of my favorite scents. Although I have a sewing machine and have learnt to sew, it's not a calming activity for me at all. I usually end up wanting to throw something against the wall.. :-)
I'm sure your lavender satchels will be much appreciated!

Wonderful pix. I always enjoy having cat helpers on a project.

Unravelled, reravelled. Yeah, that works for me.

Foamy dear, I am hand sewing, these little sachets are too small for the sewing machine, especially the ears, besides mine is broken.
I know what you mean about throwing things against the wall, especially when the tension is incorrect and the threads all knot up and jam the machine.
Hand sewing is definitely more soothing.

indeedy, cats are special that way.

Cosmo, ironically when I read your comment I had just finished unravelling a tangled ball of yarn.

Hand sewing! I'd love if you posted pictures. I bet they are cute.

Roselle, good to see you here again!
Serendipity is a fellow blogger. This elderly kitty gent is Felix. And, yes, messing with my yarns was serious kitty business.. :-)
