Shallow Haiku Monday ..

Rain pelts window pane..

Shallow riverlets of drops descend

As I gaze outward..

By and by it ceased.......

Shallow pool illuminates

My flowerpot weeds.

Anyhoo..Fishy is our current hostess for this Haiku Monday. Her theme - shallow. Go visit her at fishy2me.blogspot.com and play!

My favorite is the first! I love me some rain! My fondest memories. Back when I was allergic to the sun, or... pampered my notions of such, rain meant I might be able to sneak out and play with real people.

Not that the second poem isn't good. Just right now, with my own weed situation, weeds are on the downside of thoughts. :p Still, you captured them well, and the proper disdain for them, and with only a sliver of depth with which to work!

Foamy,
I love that second photograph!
Is that you in the reflection?

Doom,
If you love the rain you should have spent your summer in the southeast. We've had a deluge of it! And, of course, with all the rain comes growth .. :-). I think some weeds are pretty now..

Fishy,
Yep, sure is .. :-). It's me in the top photo too, actually.

foam,

Yea? We have some plants that come in and strangle. But they have the prettiest little white flowers, so I let them grow in some places. In the spring, when it is wetter, there are some electric blue blossoms on another weed. I just love some weeds as well.

What fun, I actually think reflected Foam adds interest to the composition of II

Oh, I didn't catch the reflection immediately. Not all of your pictures embiggen. The lower one, for example, requires yahoo sign in, or something, for which I have no key. I don't necessarily do things in order, so I suspected the other photo would be blocked. Not so much.

Now I definitely love the visuals on that. It's like a hidden eater egg.

Oh, yes, I would love to just borrow your rain. We are in drought, hard, second year running. I wouldn't want to be where you are though, humidity is probably through the roof. When I left Iowa, that was one of my happy losses.

Thanks, fishy!

Doom, some of my photos are posted through my Flickr yahoo account which is yahoo. I'll try to just post them larger in the future.

I think the humidity is worse in the eastern part of the state. We are here in the foothills/mountains. The mountains are actually pleasantly cool for the most part.
But, I've been mostly home bound .. grump .. inside a lot, so I've not paid much attention to humidity.
It's not so much the humidity that keeps me from sitting outside, but the skeeters.

Thanks for popping in, Rafa! Have fun on your outing. My summer is technically over. Workdays started yesterday, but I can't go back until the doc releases me... :-)
