My 15 year old's string quartet

Watch "Quartet" on YouTube
He composed it this summer.  He is sitting in the white on the right.
This is only a part of it.  The young musicians are pretty awesome too.
They only had 2 days to practice the piece.

What a beautiful piece! I am in awe. Way to go, Foam's 15 Year Old!

And thank you too, Carol. I have to admit that I was in awe myself. But then I am biased of course.

Pretty good counterpoint in the slower sections. I hear a Bach influence in the middle (he wouldn't happened to have been practicing Bach's "Two-Part Invention in F-Major" shortly before writing this, would he?).

For a young composer, it's a promising start.

He is definitely heavily influenced by Bach since that is his favorite composer. It's also basically all he plays on the piano too. I'm not sur if he's played this particular Bachpiece yet. The last piece he was practicing aw the Italian concerto by Bach.

I don't know how I missed this post Foamy dear.
Such a beautiful composition by your son and played beautifully by him and his fellow musicians. What a talented young fellow, you must be very proud of him and rightly so.
I love string quartets and chamber music it has such a sweet resonance.
