Ze fancy winter hat ..

It does exist ....

(this wee post based on one of auntie belle's comments in the

previous post)

I want that hat!! Um, yes, so what if I have dozens, already?? A girlie can never have too many fancy hats - fact. Long hair + a windy isle = disaster - a firm hat, to make it all good. 'Nuff said.

foam said...

Yes, I actually have several hats myself. And I wouldn't mind sharing this one. This one is special though. It used to belong to my auntie who passed away this past fall.

Never mind the hat. I want to know where you got the Lady Gaga eyes.

I had no idea gaga was doing the big eyed googly thing. I don't quite have my finger on the pulse of current pop culture anymore. I had to google lady gaga eyes.
Anywho, I suppose she got them the same way I did .....

Ze hat is certainly very fine and keeps my noggin warm too!

Screw la lady gaga eyes ..... Lol ..... But, thanks, i guess.... ;)

I love hats. Why did people stop wearing them? I have a friend who has a collection of vintage hats that belonged to HER Aunt and I love to hold them, try them on, etc.

Nice to see a post!

foam said...

This is a cool hat, boxer, but it is not vintage. And I suppose many folks don't wear hats due to subsequent hat hair issues when the hat is taken off.

Sehr gut hut!

too too cute!

That is a fine looking hat Foamy dear, it looks like it would keep you warm and those eyes are pretty cool also. :)
xoxoxo ♡

Butterfly Mage said...

Groovy. Does it tell you whether you'll be in Ravenclaw, Slytherin, Gryffindor, or Huffelpuff? ;-)

foam said...

Jean, why thank you! :)

Thanks, Dianne. It's a hat of felted wool so it does actually keep my head warm.

Butterfly Mage,
It, of course, told me that I belonged to the House of the Foaming Beers. Smart hat, isn't it?

chickory said...

you look like a "girl painting" on Etsy with those big eyes. ahhhhhhcccck!!

foam said...

I know. Weird, huh? It's one of those photo booth effects ...

Aunty Belle said...

Youse the cutest kid on the blogs!!
(An the hat is not too shabby either.)

Luvin' this--at least, ya BLOGGED it.

foam said...

Auntie Belle,
Well, perhaps an intermittently silly and lazy blogger .. :)

Carol said...

I am not so familiar with Lady Gaga, but (showing my age), I think those are Little Lulu eyes. (You will probably have to Google her, ya young'un!)

Karl said...

Good evening Foam,

And it's the sorting hat for which school?

foam said...

Carol, I do too know little lulu. I had no need to google her. ... :). I'm not old old, but not young either. I'm older the your beloved mr cfp .... I think.

Why the School of the Foaming Brew Meisters, of course!

Nice hat! Felt? Boiled wool? Very pretty and winter appropriate. I love hats but unfortunately only ever wear them to cover my lazy, i.e., no color, no cut, no wash. 'Tis the sad reality of working at home sometimes . . .

foam said...

Moi, I'm thinking right now that it is felted. I also have a lazy hairdo. No color, no cut. ... Just wash, comb and hop in the car and let it air dry on the way to work.

hang you head

foam said...

/t., in the winter i just blast the heat in the car. Works as a great hair dryer.

in canada
we can't always
rely on the open window method,
so we just wear a toque until afternoon

× × ×

foam said...

And I'm assuming it's a toque with a maple leaf on it ... If you are a proper Canadian that is..

Shrinky said...

Oh, how beautiful your Aunt's fancy hat still has a special place to reside, I hope you wear it often, and proudly.

foam said...

Shrinks, I have indeed worn it a fair amount since I have had it.

Little Lamb said...

I'm not a hat lamb.

foam said...

No, lambs don't really need to wear hats, especially not felted wool hats.
