Thanks! I had a lot of fun this year. We went to hear a fun band on Saturday and i got to wear a hatchet through my head. We also had several trick or treaters. Of course I greeted them with a hatchet through my head too :)

(1) A belated Happy Halloween. The photo below is how I'll always remember you.

(2) As for this post--that's family, for you.

(3) Your dreams about your brother (forgive me, I'm catching up) are very interesting. Flaking skin--as if there was something slightly wrong on the surface that betrayed something darker below. Going the opposite way to you and your living kin--well, that perhaps needs little explanation.

I do get the feeling, reading your collective posts about him, that you are still grieving his passing. Perhaps you always will. On the bright side, you could say, however, that he's still part of your life, if only in dreams.

Hey X.Dell!
Good to see you out and about again.

1. You are remembering me with stubble on my face? Oh dear ... and I tried so hard to stay clean shaven when I saw you in NYC.
2. Actually, I'm more likely to eat my children's candy then they are mind .. :)
3. I always considered the flaking skin to just represent death. I don't think I'm specifically grieving him anymore. I do miss him of course. Sometimes, events happen that make me think of his sudden passing though. I haven't dreamed about him in a good long time.

A hatchet through your head!!!
Sometimes when I wake up in the mornings I feel I have that too.

Where ya been? I'd leave a comment on your blog, but it's closed .. :)

Ps: I get them back by eating their candy.

LX: oops .. I'm guilty .. :)

I did. It was fun.

Nah, not me. I usually feel like I have a hatchet through my head after a day of teaching.
