Loved the Alice Cooper video Foamy dear ... scarey!!!
Great photos, is that some kind of jelly fish being attacked by a spider or some kind of small crab?
xoxoxo ♡

foam said...

thanks, boonie. and all the best to you and mrs s.

i'm not sure. this seems to be the jellyfish that washes up at the beach i go to.

yes, isn't the alice cooper video fun?
when i first saw it at the beach i thought it was a crab. now, i'm not sure. i know there are spiders out there can can look like crabs. but can crabs look like spiders?

thank you, anna-lys... :)
i find that different countries and cultures often enjoy foods that may not be appreciated elsewhere.

It kind of looks like a skull on the beach. It's one of those things that almost has an ick factor, but is mostly fascinating. I like it!

foam said...

they definitely have an ick factor, especially when you see them floating ashore. but they also have a strange alien beauty to them.

get your bearings, boy! we are on to the jelly fish now for a month or so .. :)
i love welcome to my nightmare. as a matter of fact, for hallowe'en last year i went as alice cooper.

yesssss, spider .. :)

Where do you even FIND a prop like that?!?!?! You are so wonderfully creative! Love the variety!

foam said...

life's a prop.
in this case it's deader'n'a doornail life .. :)

Middle Ditch said...

Very, very nice! A long time since I have seen one like that AND with a spider!!

The Phosgene Kid said...

spiders feasting on magic mushrooms. I think that is how Spiderman got his big break...

jin said...

Nooooo a spider!
I rather prefer the lizards here... haven't seen even one spider yet! Hooray!

foam said...

middle ditch,
i see them about once a year, but not always in this good shape or with a spider on it.

if i had known that i would have stuck my hand in the fray!

just wait! but maybe all those lizards are devouring the spiders.

hello hooray

crawly scary thing

and that dead jellyfish
& sandy spider-crab is cool, too

great post, foamie!

of business in the bigger wide world of /t. for the past month or so

refinishing some old furniture for my first daughter and getting my second off to university, setting up a new windows 7 laptop for ruth (and reworking the old home network), and etc -- have also been looking in on you guys from time to time, though not always with comments handy

should be back to normal here soon with the early arrival of fall

When I was a teenager I wrote and sold a very short sf story about a spider (I was paid almost 20$ !!!)

But the combination spider+jellyfish is the ultimate horror.

Now I don't know any more if I want to run on that beach

foam said...

awwwwww .. come anyway, rolf. if i can manage not to step on one while walking then surely you can manage not to step on one while running.

Actually, it's a great study of this creature (looks like a jellyfish to me, but right now I have the laptop on minimal power to extend battery life--so everything's kinda dark). It's like a verbal essay, but without the words.

foam said... ..
hey, i like that a soundless, wordless essay!
i can go for that ..
hope you are well, it's good to see you here.

Butterfly Mage said...

Cool. I like jellyfish :)

Devin said...

Great pics as always foam---I hope you and yours are having a wonderful Fall (sure doesn't feel like fall here-103 today--UGGH!)
