This photo was taken from the rear seat of a car on our way back from Mississippi this past February. We were on I75 in Alabama, I think ..The 'we', in the case, is dd, mr dd and yours truly.
Great shot! All the more so for being taken on the run.
oh, thanks cosmo ..!!i hadn't posted the first photo yet which is the actual unmanipulated photo. for the 2nd one on which you commented i got 'creative' as i like to call it. it entertains me, at times, to layer the same images.
Our clouds look the same ... wow :)
Your creativity entertain me, as well.
I was going to ask about the shadowing in the 2nd photo and then saw your comments. Cool. Very fitting ... grey and overcast.
Nice layering Foamie my dearest, you clever girl, it gives the photo more depth. It looks like it was a cold and frosty winters day. ♥Hey.. how cute is SJ in his new avatar!
sj,i'm sure that if these were better photos you would realize that our clouds are actually always prettier than your clouds .. .........okay, i admit.. i laughed at your comment .. it was funny.anna-lys,thank you .. :)aggie, yes, thank you. it was fun to fiddle around with.dianne, looks can be deceiving. it was cool down in the deep south. i wouldn't say cold though. it was quite cold and windy when we initially started on our trip in nc a few days earlier. i remember driving through snow flurries in the nc mountains.
dianne, oh, and you callin' sj cute? tsk ... there's no accounting for taste............i'm kidding.........he's a cutie pie .. lol .. and i'm mighty fond of the young whippersnapper .. ;)
I like those pictures.
i like 'em, tooboth of these are greatin lovely foam b&w and graythe bottom pic is tres cool, with its 'reverse perspective' (scale) of the overlay -- you're playing with our perceptions -- disturbing and 'workable' at once -- nice!sometimes, great shots can come via glass & motion, eh? :)¤ ¤ ¤/t.
LL,thank you .. :)/t.yes, thank you!! i'm glad you like my foam grays and black and whites .. :) and you should have seen me scrambling for my little camera when i saw that image coming up in the car. and then there is that bit of delay before the camera will actually take the picture. i'm surprised i got the image. i'm even more surprised it turned out.sometimes we do get lucky, eh?
really enjoy the big simplicity in your photos - in this one the fog over the (are those mountains? hills?) in the backgroudn looks like camaflage for this patriarch's backup.
hello new patriarch ... !!! ;)thanks..in the second photo i layered the same photo on top of each other. one of the layers was moved around a bit and made less opaque .. hence the shadowy hills in the background.
Ghostly images. Did you superimpose something else onto the second photo, or did you wait for some fog to clear after the first? It's certainly evocative.Hope you had a great Thanksgiving.
Okay, now I see your original comment. Nice handiwork. Beautiful as always.
yes, i did ..and thanks.i did have a nice thanksgiving .. laid back .. not stress ful. .. small gathering at my in-laws and tomorrow i will bring my mom over and we will do it all over again .. :). except all i have to do is heat up left-overs.
Hey you are secret admirer eh? And thank you Dianne ! :)
sj,pfffft ..i was just being unusually nice ..it was an aberration from my normal behavior. ..... a fluke, you might say..don't delude yourself now .. lol..
Interesting photo-art. A cold beer and heating up leftovers - I love that too (thankfully).
I have the same statue of each side of my driveway. They light up at night so I can bring my tired, huddled mass back home. To heck with those unpatriotic bozos with the HOA, if they think it's tacky. Let them see how restrictive Communist rule would be.
what! you don't pledge allegiance to the home owner's association of america? .. tsk ..
