i've been blogging for 3 years this september.
i'm going to close this baby down tomorrow or monday.
not deleting it. but you will see the
"this blog is open only to invited viewers"
well, that would be me only .. :)
so, don't feel left out.

i might come back in a different incarnation.
we will see.

Ah, my Hohenecken connection is off...

I mean, after all, in the past two months I've offed so many blogs, I can't count them all.
They're easy to start.
Just be happy, y'all.

foam said...

indigo ..
i'll be around at times ..

it still blows my mind that you recognized where that photo was taken!
and, yes .. blogs are easy to start.

Let us know who you are.

Indigo said it best: "bummer."

Do what you must..I just hope that at one point in your life you'll remember me and the brief 'relationship' we have.

i totally understand the need to reinvent and retool the blog. ive had several incarnations as you know, its a work in progress always. and it is good to recognize that you arent stuck forever in a certain format or offering of content. looking very much forward to the next incarnation of FOAM.

vaya con dios we'll see ya on the flip side xo K9

I'm pleased to read that you are not going to close it down.

Have a good rest foam and we see you again when you are ready.

Take the time you need!

I have enjoyed this blog very much.

But it is a good thing to close down for a while and figure things out

The Ramblin Irishman said...

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, say it is not true. A day without Foam is a day without sunshine. I completely understand though. My blogging has slowed down to a very, very slow crawl. You can email once in a while though can't you? You will be missed my little German lady.

ANNA-LYS said...

Everything on the earth bristled, the bramble
pricked and the green thread
nibbled away, the petal fell, falling
until the only flower was the falling itself.
Water is another matter,
has no direction but its own bright grace,
runs through all imaginable colors,
takes limpid lessons
from stone,
and in those functionings plays out
the unrealized ambitions of the foam.

Thanks for stoppin by my blog! Three years of blogging is a long time! I can understand you need a break. The good thing about blogs are that there are no obligations! (I have the button on my sidebar. ) :D

berry said...

OK OK I know....
If I'm going to keep my audience, I'm going to have to start getting up earlier and doing the First Farm and Weather Reports, cause some of y'all are school marms, and you get a way early start, yourselves!

Actually, just recently got a google account (hey, it kept whining at me) (plus someone asked me to get it because they had it, and I did)
but, now I know why you said what you said about it.
Not only is it different (though slightly easier...sligtly as in I don't have to type in my e-mail address, though it's part of my address, anyway) but, it's looking like I have to sign in at every different site I go to.
Which makes it easier to understand why some of y'all have been using 'anon' and the like.
Plus, it doesn't even go to my profile page, but, if I dump 'hotmail' it will.

So? What am I saying here?
Nothing, I guess. Just whining a bit.
Passing the time hoping that darned 'choose an identity box' down there will go away.
I've already signed in three times, so far.
oh, feathers!

Well, see ya later!

ANNA-LYS said...

Sorry, can't find "blogged-out" in Oxford Lexicon ... meaning such a thing doesn't exist, You are just tired of every thing You do on a daily basis, aren't You?

ANNA-LYS said...

Is Berry under your cover ... eh sorry, undercover?

benjibopper said...

ah man, I just got here! bummer. i hope you'll still be around in some virtual form.

foam said...

i'm just f..king tired all the times it seems .. no matter what..

and i checked .. boneman is not under my cover..
/err .. undercover .. that would be berry, of course..

don't know why ya gots to log in everytime you link onto somebody. when i'm logged in as foam, i'll show up as foam on any blog i click onto. the only reason i use anon or the name/url is when i'm logged out of the account and am too lazy to sign in.

ANNA-LYS said...

I think I have to take You under my wings for Anna-Lytic therapy sessions ... wonder if I shall open a new blog for such things.

A blog with coach and couch?!?

ANNA-LYS said...

Actually, someone else left a comment at my Rick Wright-Pink Floyd memory post, that made my head spin.

And I found an urge to write a post about "Trauma as identity ... or mirror" ... I see to much of this online, and it makes me tired .... ha ha ... so I better not write that post ... it would make others tired.

I am labile, I can get bored of too much seriousness, as well as too much fooling around ... typical Swedish "LAGOM ÄR BÄST".

As a result I post when I feel for it, whatever I feel for - and that makes a lot of people leaving my site ... but I am not here to be seen, and neither are You!!!

Still, it is fun, when someone make a response, specially if they have thoughts of their own.

I like when You put down Your feet, I haven't seen that for a while - maybe You need new shoes? ;-)

(( Love ))

It's nice to see that you are still traveling around in blogland.

K9 said...

oh good! i am glad you liked your extra somethin somethin. thanks for leeting me know they arrived safely. so, wheres the new improved and fortified mo better blog? grrherha

boneman said...

it could be you have overlooked the obvious....
You are a teacher, can there be a connection of blog/teacher?
(Though I know of some who actively connect teir blog to the classroom, it would also be prudent to have it seperate from this blog (family/friends/and internet acquaintences) as a blog with connectors to the classroom my make for a less than a dictatorial relationship with students. (I have no idea which brand of teaching you prescribe, the bigger picture is an assumption on my half)

A randomnly applied blog on teaching could also be an avenue to explore.

A purely photographic avenue has been done many times with a fair amount of success.

Myself, I have opened another blog, which sadly, I feel I should remove. It's of the church I go to...I was thinking of having various people on it, incorporating their pewrsonal travel to church on Sundays.
(Maybe, maybe not)
(because I would also incorporate a musical piece from that day into it, though my equipment isn't as sophisticated as it should be to do that)

A blog with footage from the classroom may have specific benefits.
Better behavior, higher enthusiasm for learning.
Again, I would suggest this be a completely different blog.
Leave the camera in plain view for the children to interact with.
Announce it to the parents, of course, and suddenly, you have a PTA going stronger than you ever imagined.

Of course, be forewarned....
I dream BIG! Things sometimes bog down at unthought of intersections.
(I would help if I can.)

and with that, (WTMI) he's out'a there!

Yay! You're the mildly abusive (in a good way) virtual girlfriend I've been missing. Love your visits and your blog.

Ruela said...

¿Olá como usted es? ;)

foam said...

anna-lys ..
sure, i do needs new shoes ..
finding the right fit is a bit of a problem though ..

md ..
yah.. well i never actually planned on not visiting folks ..
it's too hard to just drop folks i've been blogging with for a few years now.

k9 ..
the mo better blog? it's festering ...

conceivably i could do that. i do have a school sponsored site on which i could upload photos of artwork and students working .. i just would always have to be absolutely sure that parental permission has been given to post their images and or artwork online. i do teach close to 900 students a week. every year the numbers keep going up. getting that involved with a site would involve my free time. time i'd rather spend with family and their myriad after school happenings .. and, of course, my own presently non blog.
but, you know what? i do really appreciate your input .. :)

what can i say ..
mildly abusive .. c'est moi .. :)

ruela ..
didn't you mean to say
Como estas? if you're gonna be that formal you are going to have to call me senora foam .. :)
but anyway ..

bastante bien,.. y usted, senor ruela... ? ;)
mais, je suis tres fatigue tambien ..
oops, see? ich bin muede. i'm getting my languages mixed up.

hope things are good with you!

900 students a week! It is a lot of kids. I guess it must be difficult to know their names.

I also guess it is because of the enormous number of students most teachers are very tired in the end of the week.

so...did you see where the link (under the Swedish Chef) was to Florence?
