the stop

well, you know..
how traffic can move along
early in a morning..
not that much traffic is encountered on these sleepy country roads..

but occasionally there is a crossing where traffic slows down..
and you find yourself creeping along..

really there was no reason to stop..
traffic was moving steadily..
but slowly..

when it did stop..
completely..

and all of a sudden you felt ..
just not so very comfortable in your car
anymore..

Looks like you were stopped on the tracks. Why? I assume the train was moving away from you :)

Missed the "Don't stop on the tracks" sign, eh?? Good luck with the insurance company. All that aside nice photo and I enjoyed the verse!!

nah...
those trains are stopped. this crossing is by a feed mill.
it was actually all go for the cars, but traffic still came to a halt for a brief minute or two just as i was crossing. enough time for a stilted photo and for me to engage my actice imagination in gory accident related stuff..

I wouldn't feel comfortable on rail road tracks either.

I've heard that the "light at the end of the tunnel" is sometimes an oncoming train, heh heh.

No... I don't think I'd like to be stuck on the railroad tracks! Aieeeee!!!

Good photo! :)

Love the photo.

Weird fact about pink: I always stop on one side of the tracks till I see the car on the other side has gotten past and left me enough room. I got stopped on tracks once and it totally freaked me out!

pink,
actually i was taught to do that and usually do that. but in my hurry to get to work on time i just went on ahead and crossed. i should have known better. it's hardly ever worth the hurry.

monique,
yikes is right.

indigo,
i'm not planning on getting stuck anymore .. tad disconcerting ..

little lamb,
we have so much in common .. ;)

Um, that's not the best place to get stopped in traffic.

Great shot of the railroad, though. I love trains. Always have.

Traffic is another matter.

I like the photo, too. It reminds me of a future piece I have in mind...
