This is what it presently looks like around these parts. This photo was taken a couple of years ago. The weather was a bit colder.
Actually, despite the blah's that this kind of weather can induce, I'm really quite grateful that it has been like this for the past few days. We've had such terrible drought conditions. Having this rain is a blessing.

My children have been rather busy during their holiday break. It's amazing the social life they have. Between sleepovers (here and at friends homes), movie outings, visiting friends, having friends visit here, the house has been rarely empty. They are happy and i'm thankful for that.

I have managed to be a lazy slug this whole week. I have a slight case of the related, weather related, who cares really. I'll get over it. All I've done is eat, watch movies and procrastinate on all the stuff I really ought to be doing.

Although I always say that i won't make resolutions, it's hard not to think of what ought to happen in the new year before it becomes just the regular year. i know that life is what happens to you when you are busy living life (i think john lennon said that..not sure, and i'm too lazy to google it). but maybe i can take control of this vast mobile called life and steer it just a teensy tiny bit in the direction i need it to go.

If you plan on moving a vast mobile, perhaps resting up as a lazy slug will help.

I wouldn't be surprised if you were run-down somewhat because of your work situation. Your sons are enjoying this time. I'm hoping you can too.

Oh I'm so glad I'm not alone..I'm enjoying all these laziness too much..I feel like freezing time now, not wanting the new year to come..coz it will end everything.

oh, i'm having all the fun a slug probably has being a slug..:)

with me, unfortunately, being lazy is always accompanied by this slight feeling of guilt. i think it's inbred. i can hardly do anything about it. but i manage to live through it..:)

"Life is what happens when you're busy making other plans" - yes that is John Lennon.

But at the same time, if you don't know where you're going, you'll end up somewhere else.

I'm all for goals and also for accepting that life does throw you new things every single day to which we have to react.

I made some fun resolutions over at my place. Maybe you want to make some fun ones too...and once we get past the artificial marker, then I'm going to get back to my ongoing goals.

Happy Celebrations - wish I could have been a lazy slug this holiday. I'm exhausted!

thanks, ll.. and the same to you too.

i need to figure out what my new goals need to be and really go for it. one thing i do know...
i need a change in my professional life.
i might post some fun, silly resolutions..
the first silly resolution would probably be to:
1. give up chocolate ..............
hahhhhahahahhahahahahahah..boy do i crack myself up..;)

What is it about Blue Grass music that I love so much? It's like blue cheese- wonderful and memorable in little doses~ :)
One day (this year?) I want to go to a Blue Grass festival- and drink beer and eat BBQ- and take a nap on a blanket under a tree...
Jeeeshh- it sounds lovely! :)

I walked almost 2 miles on Saturday, and over 2 miles today...
I've turned into a slug- or a plump little dumpling! (but the dumpling sounds better :)
Happy New Year Foamy...I hope your schedule changes for the better- and I've been thinking about you and your mom~ I often do.
And tonight- I'm going to have a good time and let the year slip away like a foggy memory...
Cheers for 2008 :)

Foamy - I just looked at your profession on your profile. You know, I'm one too. The good news is that we can do anything in business, not just the debits and credits :)

Good luck with figuring that one out. I also recommend the book The Right Questions by Debbie Ford.

whoops, pink..
i just checked out my profile.
i thought i had that changed to the arts..
i'm an art teacher who teaches 800 students per week at 3 different schools.
i think if you don't choose a setting it automatically sets you to the 1st profession that starts with the letter A = accounting.
at one time my profile also had me hailing from afhganistan..

i just changed my profile. thanks for pointing that out.

Are you back in school this week you lucky person you? My school made me take the month of January off. Talk about someone becoming a slug.
